About Library Services: Lost & Found

Lost & Found

Visitors should monitor their belongings at all times while using the Learning Commons.

The Lost & Found is located at the Information Desk on the first floor of the Learning Commons. Found items are recorded on a paper log/clipboard. We log the following: Date, Employee Name, Item Description, Storage Location; Date Picked Up, Picked Up By, Employee Name, and Notes/Comments. The Lost & Found log is kept on the top of the Information Desk storage cabinet and once logged-in, items are securely stored in the cabinet.

Please note that items considered essential - like cell phones, credit cards, keys, and wallets - are delivered to the Springfield College Public Safety Department at the end of Library Services operational hours. Public Safety is at 25 Portsmouth Street, or call 413-748-5555.

If items are clearly marked with name or contact information, staff will attempt to email or phone the owner.
