The College Archives is open via Appointment.

Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 to 4.

Please contact the College Archivist at jmonseau@springfield.edu to arrange an appointment and/or to discuss options.

Working with the Materials

Policy

To use the resources of the Archives researchers must first:

When working with materials researchers must:

  • Be responsible for safeguarding material made available to them in the reading room.
  • Use pencils and loose paper when taking notes.
  • Not lean on, write on, fold, trace, or handle the books or manuscripts in any way likely to damage them.
  • Leave bags, backpacks, briefcases, computer cases, purses, and notebooks on the main desk while working in the reading room. (Laptop computers may be used in the reading room).

Springfield College Archives & Special Collections has digitized many of its collections for researchers who cannot visit the archives in person. Search our Finding Aids to locate materials physically located within the Archives.
