The Springfield College Learning Commons at dusk.


Formerly known as Babson Library, the construction of this current building was completed shortly before the Fall of 2017. The building is located across the street from Judd Gymnasia and the Stitzer Welcome Center. The Learning Commons is named after Harold C. Smith, a former Springfield College trustee and former president, CEO, and chief investment officer of the college's YMCA Retirement Fund. 

Features of the Learning Commons

Each of the building's four floors are different, but all of the floors share a common set of notable features.

  • Wifi for Springfield College members and guests
  • Variety of computer stations

Please Note: The computer stations and printing are for Springfield College members only. Guests are more than welcome to use the Wifi.
