Scheduling Events in the Learning Commons

The following rooms in the Harold C. Smith Learning Commons can be reserved by faculty, staff, and students of Springfield College by contacting Jill Pietrantonio at (413) 748-3308 or jpietrantonio@springfield.edu 

  • Forum (Room 201): This room can seat 35 with tables or 60 in rows. It contains two screens for projection, a microphone, two monitors, and a video camera. Please note: we are no longer able to open the walls of the Forum for larger events. 
  • Davis Center (Room 405): This is a smart classroom that seats 32. It has a projector and white boards. This room is on a quiet study floor.
  • CETLS Conference Room (Room 403): This is a conference room that seats 12 to 15 people. It has projection capabilities. This room is on a quiet study floor.

The following rooms in the Harold C. Smith Learning Commons can be reserved by faculty, staff, and students of Springfield College by contacting the Office of Conferences and Special Events at (413) 748-5287.

  • Karpovich Reading Room (Room 406): A classic open reading/studying space with tables, comfortable seating, and power outlets. Seats 12.
  • Cooper Terrace (3rd floor): This outdoor terrace overlooking the back of the building seats 40 with high tables and couches.

The following rooms in the Harold C. Smith Learning Commons can be reserved only by the Academic Success Center and should be done so by contacting the ASC directly vis email: asc@springfield.edu or by calling (413) 748-3389. 

  • Classroom (Room 303): This flexible classroom that seats 30.
  • Open Tutoring Room (Room 302): This flexible tutoring space that seats 30. 

Springfield College Museum

The Springfield College Museum in Judd Gymnasia is also available for functions. More information about the Museum is located here

Departments within Springfield College may reserve the Museum by contacting Jill Pietrantonio at jpietrantonio@springfield.edu or 413-748-3308. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.

Alumni and outside groups may reserve the Museum by contacting the Office of Conferences and Special Events at 413-748-5287. There may be a charge for use of the space.
