Description:

This Honors Course students designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in a variety of puzzles with the goal of not only working with complex problems, but also with understanding how we process through knowledge to solve problems. In the course, we examined a variety of puzzles from jigsaw, through the New York Times puzzles, to escape rooms. Through each puzzle, we worked to understand the cognitive skills necessary to determine not only solutions, but possible solutions. The final project for the course is to design an escape room on campus to demonstrate understanding of skills and puzzle principles.
