Similar to the reference librarians, the academic technology specialist plays an important role for both the Learning Commons, and Information and Technology Services.
The academic technologist collaborates with faculty to explore and apply new technologies in support of teaching and learning. They will provide one-on-one consultations and facilitate technology workshops. Assist in the development and design of Brightspace Courses. Introduce and support pedagogical strategies for formative and summative assessment. Collaborate with others on campus whose work intersects with or is complementary to instructional uses of technology.
Our academic technology specialist is Leslie Rotondo, and her office is located on this floor as well.
