Dr. Eldridge began teaching at Springfield College in 1962 as a member of the Chemistry Department. In 1987 she was named Assistant VP for Academic Affairs and eventually the Vice President for Academic Affairs. During her time as administrator she oversaw introduction of eight new majors, the Long Range Planning Steering committee, and Faculty Personnel Policy Committee. Throughout her 34 years of teaching experience and professional achievements, she also held the position as a supervisory chemist for water testing laboratory in New Hampshire. Dr. Eldridge retired in 1992 and died in 2017.
