Local statistics can be difficult to find. Try USA.gov (see other column). You can also try the appropriate state agencies for your topic. Also consider contacting local city/town departments.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics provides labor and price related statistics including unemployment figures and the Consumer Price Index. Pull down the Subjects menu for an impressive list of subjects as well as a list of Regional Offices for more regional information.
