Databases are a great places to find scholarly journal articles - including those that are peer-reviewed - on different topics. Here are a few databases that specialize in Shakespeare, medieval literature and related subjects.

MLA International Bibliography

Literary Reference Center

A very large general academic database covering a broad range of topics. It includes a mix of magazine and journal articles. Many items are full text.
