Jason Reynolds

Springfield College will host New York Times best-selling author Jason Reynolds on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., in the Field House located inside the Wellness & Recreation Complex. The evening is part of the College’s endowed Arts & Humanities Speaker Series, made possible through the generosity of Carlton ’63 and Lucille Sedgeley. Reynolds’ novels and poetry are targeted for young adults and middle-grade audiences and have received many recognitions and awards.

Jason Reynolds was recently named one of 22 recipients of the prestigious John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation fellowship, also knows as a "genius grant." As a 2024 MacArthur Fellow, Reynolds will receive an $800,000 stipend to further his creative work.
