A Deep Dive in the Causation and Correlation of American Opinions on Abortion
A Deep Dive in the Causation and Correlation of American Opinions on Abortion
A Deep Dive in the Causation and Correlation of American Opinions on Abortion
Day and Time:
Wednesday: 11:00-11:50am
Description:
This study investigates the opinion that Americans have on the topic of abortion. Examining why the debate around reproductive rights has shifted throughout the last couple of decades was a central part of the research inquiry. The study was conducted by sending out a questionnaire with ranging questions all on the abortion topic and received 105 responses. An examination of literature review sheds light onto the topics that are centralized around abortion. Understanding of human rights and autonomy is something scholars have previously researched. Examination of the research was compared to findings to understand how the two are correlated and if there is causation. Abortion is a controversial topic being challenged throughout the country. The purpose of this examination is to assist in further educating audiences on reproductive rights, no matter the group they identify with. Since a woman's right to make decisions for her body is being challenged by the government, how are women reacting to this, how is this impacting future families, and how has governmental decision making processes changed over time?
