Databases are a great places to find scholarly journal articles - including those that are peer-reviewed - on different topics. Here are a few databases that specialize in linguistics, language arts and related subjects.

Full text of language and literature journals that span the literary cultures of many countries, as well as a general ebook collection. Includes expanded temporary access through December 31, 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Provides information on approximately 140,000 authors from a wide range of literary disciplines and time frames as well as plot summaries, synopses, and overviews of their works. In addition, it also includes 14,500 short stories and 54,000 poems.
