Google Books will provide you with partial access to many books published in the last few decades, plus full text access to certain titles that are in the public domain.
It's a good way to sense if the book(s) you are interested in are actually useful.
If you find a book of interest through Google Books, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan.
The National Academies Press publishes hundreds of e-books and reports on health related topics. To view them, click one of the links below and browse through the titles.
Once you find a book that you would like to read, click on the title and choose the Table of Contents tab. Here you will find links to each section of the book. Click the link and start reading!
Even if you see a price listed go to the Table of Contents. The price is often for a hard copy of the book. If you choose to read it online it is free. The ones which are no available free online wil not have any links in the Table of Contents section.
